Kyrgyz FM visits Hungarian companies Gedeon Richter, Zeolit Hungary and Wizz Air

On Sept. 17, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov during a working visit to Hungary visited the Hungarian companies Gedeon Richter, Zeolit ​​Hungary and Wizz Air. According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, at a meeting with chairman of Gedeon Richter, Erik Bogsch, the minister was interested in international projects of the company, which is one of the leaders in the field of pharmacology, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation. He said that a project is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan to promote growth and investment in the tourism sector, the implementation partners of which are the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism represented by the Tourism Department, the Agency for the Promotion and Protection of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting with the General Director of Zeolit ​​Hungary LLC Juhasz Bela, issues of cooperation in the field of reclamation of uranium tailings were discussed, in particular, the possible involvement of a Hungarian company in the reclamation of tailings in the Kyrgyz Republic. The minister noted that uranium tailings are one of the major environmental problems for Kyrgyzstan. He announced his interest in cooperating with Zeolit ​​Hungary, in connection with which the issue of concluding a Memorandum of Cooperation is being studied. Kyrgyz minister also discussed issues on the possible opening of direct flights from Bishkek to Budapest or other routes with the leadership of Wizz Air.
