Kyrgyz FM, Secretary General of Turkic Council discuss further development of co-op

Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev met on Sunday with Secretary General of the Turkic Council (Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States/CCTS) Baghdad Amreyev, who has arrived in Bishkek for working visit. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed topical issues on the agenda of the Turkic Council, and confirmed their mutual intention to further develop the relations of friendship and brotherhood between the Turkic-speaking states. Minister Kazakbayev noted that the Kyrgyz side remains fully committed to all its international obligations and strict implementation of all previously signed bilateral and multilateral international treaties, including within the Turkic Council. CCTS Secretary General Amreyev informed about the efforts made within the Organization to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, a number of ministerial videoconferences held on the organization of the transport corridor for the delivery of humanitarian goods, providing the population with basic necessities, medicines and medical supplies. There was an exchange of views on the schedule of upcoming events at the high and highest levels. An agreement was reached to maintain a regular dialogue to strengthen and promote Turkic integration, as well as to expand interaction among the member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States.
