Kyrgyz FM receives copies of credentials from newly appointed French ambassador

Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Thursday French Ambassador to the republic Francois Delahousse. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the French ambassador presented to the minister copies of credentials. Ruslan Kazakbaev congratulated Francois Delahousse on his appointment and wished success in his responsible work. The foreign minister informed about internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan, past election processes. During the meeting, the sides also discussed a wide range of issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation: the organization of visits at high and highest levels, the prospects for economic projects in the Kyrgyz Republic by the AFD French Development Agency represented by the division "Proparco" and the international operator of Paris airports "Aérorts de Paris" and "TAV Airports", as well as the progress of projects for reconstruction and rehabilitation of At-Bashy and Toktogul HPPs. In this context, Minister Kazakbaev emphasized the efforts of the Kyrgyz side to create a favorable investment climate in the republic, increasing export potential, expanding opportunities for further economic growth of Kyrgyzstan. He also noted the relevant Decrees of Kyrgyz President Zhaparov on the adoption of laws to reform the mining industry, development of agro-industry and the further development of the financial market in republic. Attention was paid to discussion of further steps for possible restructuring of the external debt of the Kyrgyz Republic to France.
