Kyrgyz FM receives ambassador of Tajikistan

Bishkek, May 31, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Monday Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan Nazirmad Alizoda. During the meeting, held at the request of the Tajik side, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. Particular emphasis was placed on the adoption of measures necessary to maintain peace and stability in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. In the context of the tragic events, Ruslan Kazakbaev emphasized the leading role of diplomats and the responsibility of heads of diplomatic missions of the two states in Bishkek and Dushanbe to strengthen friendly relations and promote the inadmissibility of armed clashes between the brotherly countries. The foreign minister stressed the Kyrgyz side aims to achieve practical results on the description of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border line in the short term, taking into account the interests of each party. Ruslan Kazakbaev and Nazirmad Alizoda also discussed issues related to the legal stay of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the territories of both states.
