Kyrgyz FM meets with leaders and reps of Indian business

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2021 . / Kabar / . As part of participation of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev in the India-Central Asia Ministerial Dialogue in New Delhi (India), the Kyrgyz delegation held a series of meetings with representatives and leaders of Indian business circles, in particular the Indian Chamber of International Business, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Indian industry and the Federation of Indian Export Organizations.
During the meetings, the Kyrgyz side informed the representatives and heads of Indian business circles about the benefits of investing in the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to build up trade and investment relations, the attractiveness of the tax regime and measures taken by the country to protect investments and support entrepreneurs.
In this context, the Kyrgyz side presented ready investment projects in the above sectors and export opportunities of the republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said.
In turn, representatives of Indian business expressed interest in studying promising sectors of the Kyrgyz economy (pharmaceuticals, tourism, hydropower and information and communication technologies) and expressed a desire to visit Kyrgyzstan to establish business contacts with relevant government agencies and representatives of Kyrgyz business.
A special emphasis was made on the limitations of currently possible transport and logistics corridors between the two countries, in this regard, the sides discussed their expansion through the use of multimodal routes and opportunities in ports of third countries.
As a result of the meetings, it was agreed that the representatives and leadership of these business circles will take an active part in the Kyrgyz-Indian business forum scheduled within the framework of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov’s visit to India.
In addition, the Kyrgyz side invited the meeting participants to visit the republic to explore market opportunities.
