Kyrgyz FM Kazakbaev meets with Special Rep of UN secretary-general for Central Asia Natalia Gherman

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met on Thursday withSpecial Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia Gherman. The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting took place within the framework of participation in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). During the meeting, the sides discussed the dynamics of development of the situation in the region in connection with the ongoing processes in Afghanistan, as well as the development of UNRCCA activities, the possible use of the UNRCCA potential for the application of preventive diplomacy mechanisms to maintain sustainable peace and development in Central Asia. Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev informed about the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly next week, as well as the planned meetings with the UN leadership in New York.
