Kyrgyz delegation delivers humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2021. / Kabar /. On behalf of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, a Kyrgyz delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Taalatbek Masadykov delivered a cargo of humanitarian aid to Kabul on behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan. The humanitarian cargo was officially handed over to Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar of the newly established Government of Afghanistan. During the meeting, Taalatbek Masadykov and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar had a detailed conversation, during which the sides discussed the political situation in Afghanistan and exchanged views on security issues in the country and the region as a whole. Abdul Ghani Baradar thanked Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Zhaparov and the people of the country for providing humanitarian aid to the Afghan people. In addition, the acting deputy prime minister of Afghanistan stressed the need to strengthen confidence-building measures with neighboring countries, noting that it is important for the Taliban to establish peace in the country and work on the economy to improve the lives of its people. Taalatbek Masadykov also held a protocol meeting with Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi during his trip to Kabul.
