Kyrgyz ambassador and South Korean MP discuss intensification of cooperation in various fields

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea Dinara Kemelova visited the Parliament of the Republic of Korea and met with deputy Song Young-gil, who is the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Association of the National Assembly. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea. The Kyrgyz ambassador congratulated the Korean MP on the impressive victory of the Democratic Party in the parliamentary elections in April this year and his appointment to the position of the Chairman of the Committee, the report said. Kemelova also informed the chairperson about the planned parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan in October this year. In addition, the sides discussed the fight against coronavirus, facilitating mutual trips of citizens of the two countries, the possibility of simplifying the requirements for the import of ecological clean products from Kyrgyzstan to South Korea, as well as enhancing cooperation in the development of regions, ICT, tourism, industry and transport within the framework of the South Korean Initiatives "New Northern Policy".
