Khentii aimag to be developed as historical tourist area

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government and Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene worked in Bayankhutag and Galshar soums of Khentii aimag as a member of Parliament during the last weekend. In accordance with a government resolution to develop Khentii aimag as a historical tourist area, numerous works are being carried out in different soums of the aimag, reflecting each of their unique features. In Bayankhutag soum, a new sports hall of a secondary school is being built by CHBJ Construction with 90 percent completion and head of the Cabinet Secretariat L.Oyun-Erdene also resolved some financial issues faced in the construction and installation of water supply pipe system at the construction site. He then attended an opening ceremony of a monument to Setsen Khan Navaanneren, 20th Khan of the hereditary Setsen Khanateate on the Khalkha territory. In Galshar soum, he took part in a ceremony to lay the foundation for a tourist center and monument to M.Purevjav, who made a great contribution to the safeguarding of the horse culture and heritage and created a new horse breed “Galshar”. This center is also to become a research center of Mongolia horse.
