Jeenbekov and Abylgaziev discuss economic growth and welfare improvement

Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2018 / Kabar /. President Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Prime Minister of the country Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev discussed the measures taken by the government to ensure economic growth in the country and improvement of the well-being of citizens. President Jeenbekov emphasized the need to strengthen the Government's efforts to develop the regions. Jeenbekov also paid special attention to the implementation of the National Sustainable Development Strategy of Kyrgyzstan, the draft of which will be submitted soon for consideration to the meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development of the Republic. In addition, he recommended the Prime Minister to intensify preliminary explanatory work on government’s new initiatives. Abylgaziev spoke about the government's work on preparation to winter, about autumn field work, building and repairing of social and infrastructure facilities, implementation o safe city projects, e-government based on the Tunduk system and the Taza Koom Digital Transformation Program. Abylgaziev said that the interdepartmental working group developed the feasibility study and terms of reference for the Safe City project, within which 38 crossroads, 52 stationary borders of the republic will be equipped with cameras fixing violations, and are provided with 20 mobile hardware and software systems. The State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication announced a competition among companies wishing to participate in the implementation of this project, based on the results of which the start of its launch will be determined. Concerning the implementation of the Taza Koom Digital Transformation Program, the Prime Minister noted that the Council for Electronic Management and Development of Information and Communication Technologies under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic approved lists of priority projects for subsequent implementation under the Program.
