Japan, S. Korea to Discuss N. Korea Wed

Tokyo, July 15 (Jiji Press)--Japan and South Korea will hold a meeting on Wednesday of their top negotiators in six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear weapons program, Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said Tuesday. The top negotiators are Junichi Ihara, director-general of the Japanese Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau and Hwang Joon Kook, South Korea's special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs. The two are seen exchanging views on North Korea's recent ballistic missile launches. Ihara is also expected to explain the outcome of Tokyo's recent talks with Pyongyang, including on the issue of Japanese nationals kidnapped by North Korean spies. END
