Iraq Foreign Minister discusses with his Syrian and German's counterparts, Security Council resolution on chemical disarmament in Syria

BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari reviewed in New York with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem the Security Council's recent decision issued by the Security Council on chemical disarmament in Syria. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited that "The two sides also discussed, during the meeting, the ongoing preparations for the convening of the Geneva Conference (2). The statement added that Zebari also met, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, with his Germany counterpart Guido Vestervella, and reviewed with him the relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in addition to the political situation in the region. The statement noted, "The two sides also discussed, during the meeting, the possibility that Germany settles a number of residents of Camp Liberty in its territory. It is worth mentioning that Zebari is participating in the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, at its eighty-six within the Iraqi delegation headed by the Vice President of the Republic Khudair Al-Khozai and human rights minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. / End
