Iran's MP confers with Sudan's parliament speaker

Tehran, Nov 25, IRNA - Head of health commission of Majlis Shahabeddin Sadr, who is in Khartoum heading a delegation to attend Coroner Organization meeting of the Islamic countries, conferred with Sudan Parliament Speaker Ahmad Ebrahim al-Taher.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, in the
meeting, in which Iran's ambassador to Khartoum was also present, Dr.
Sadr by expressing pleasure with chairmanship of the organization by
Sudan for 2 years called for all-out efforts of Sudanese officials for
success of the body.

He described bilateral ties between the two parliaments "very
constructive and growing" and asked for prompt visit of the Sudanese
speaker to Iran.

The Iranian MP also called for establishment of parliamentary
friendship group between Iran and Sudan soon.

The Sudan parliament speaker by referring to the increased
parliamentary trips in different levels between the two countries,
expressed pleasure with increasing trend of parliamentary relations,
especially close consultations in the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary
Union and the other international parliamentary bodies and called ties
between Iran and Sudan in all fields excellent.

Referring to the importance of Coroner 's role in detecting crime and
arresting criminals, al-Taher expressed Sudan's readiness for close
cooperation with Iran in this concern.
