Iran is the main provider of security in Hormuz Strait - minister

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 16 / Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/ Iran is the main provider of security in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said, ISNA reported. The minister made the remarks during the IRGC's Navy observing mission in the Strait of Hormuz, where a delegation of military experts and inspectors also participated. Speaking about the Persian Gulf, Vahidi noted that it the Gulf is a strategic point for the whole world. "The Persian Gulf is of strategic importance to the world, from the economic, political and regional points of view," Vahidi said.
