Iran fears emergence of deadly diseases as a result of European missile defence deployment in Turkey

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 27 /Trend A.Taghiyeva, T.Jafarov/ The birth of immature and mentally retarded children, as well as the emergence of incurable diseases in the population will soon be observed in Turkey, the commander of aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Amir Ali Hajizadeh said, the agency FARS reports on Friday. Hajizadeh said the deployment of the European missile defence system serves the interests of the Zionists and provides them with a peace of mind. The decision to deploy elements of the European missile defence system in Turkey was made at the NATO summit in Lisbon in 2010 and Turkey supported the initiative. U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, Francis Rikardone and adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Firuddin Sinirlioglu signed an agreement on placing a radar missile at a military base in Kyuredzhike in September 2011. Tehran has repeatedly expressed its concern to Ankara with regard to this decision. "Such a move would be in favour of Israel and other foreign forces in the region," the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said. Do you have any feedback?
