India to provide Kyrgyzstan with grant for quick-impact social projects

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . India will provide Kyrgyzstan with a grant for quick-impact projects in the social sphere. The relevant memorandum was signed by Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Thus, the memorandum on presenting a grant of $ 1 million 500 thousand by the Indian government for quick-impact projects in the social sphere was signed. The issue of granting a soft loan by the Government of India in the amount of $200 million was also considered.
Minister Kazakbaev noted that Kyrgyzstan cherishes the existing relations with India, in this regard, it is necessary to deepen political contacts between the two countries.
"Currently, one of the priority areas of bilateral cooperation with India is the cultural and humanitarian sphere. However, the political and trade and economic spheres are also of no small importance," he said.
Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is on Kyrgyzstan for an official visit.
