High turnover shows people's confidence in Islamic system – Iran's Supreme Leader

Azerbaijan, Baku, March 8 / Trend T.Jafarov / Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that active participation in the parliamentary elections showed that the people voted for the Islamic system existing in the country. Khamenei made the statement during a meeting with representatives of the Council of Experts, the official website of the supreme leader said on Thursday. According to him, the active voting is a warning to enemies that the people trust in this system. 65% of eligible voters participated in the parliamentary elections which were held last week in Iran.
