Head Of Supreme Judicial Council, US Official Discuss Strengthening Judicial Cooperation In Combating Terrorism

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faik Zidane discussed with a US official the strengthening of judicial cooperation in the fight against terrorism. "Faik Zidane met, this morning in his office, with the US Deputy Ambassador to Iraq, Joe Hood, and the two sides discussed ways of providing assistance to investigators to collect evidence in connection with judicial work," Judge Abdul Sattar Birqdar, spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, said in a statement. He added that "this meeting comes within the framework of cooperation between the two parties in the fight against terrorism." / End
