Head of Kyrgyz delegation on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border issues leaves for Tashkent

Bishkek, March 23, 2021 / Kabar /. Head of Kyrgyzstan’s government delegation on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, Lieutenant General Kamchybek Tashiyev left on Tuesday for the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent to conduct joint talks on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border issues. During his visit, a joint meeting of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border will also take place. The meeting of intergovernmental delegations will be held in Tashkent on March 24-25 this year, where the Kyrgyz delegation will be headed by Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiyev and the Uzbek delegation will be led by Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. During the meeting, the government commissions will discuss the delimitation of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. During a state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan, the heads of the two countries agreed to intensify the work of the government delegations, which is expected to be completed in the near future.
