Head of Caucasian Muslims Office invited to world religious congress

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 28 / Trend S.Aghayeva / Head of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has been invited to the congress of world religious leaders to be held in Astana on March 30-31, the CMO press-service told Trend on Tuesday. Special representative of the Kazakh Senate MP Oralbay Abdikarimov handed over the invitation to the Congress at a meeting of the CMO. Calling Sheikhulislam one of the elders of the Turkic world, Mr Abdikarimov stressed that Mr Pashazade did a lot for the rapprochement of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, and relations between them were at the highest level. The CMO head gratefully accepted the invitation and wished peace and prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan and personally to President Nursultan Nazarbayev, noting his contribution to interfaith dialogue and relations between the two countries.
