HE Culture Minister Reiterates Qatar's Prime Attention to Book and Creativity

Doha, May 22 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari has emphasized the due attention the State of Qatar has accorded to the book, and spreading creativity and human knowledge through the several cultural organs which all rallied to contribute to enriching the human thought through publishing the creativity of the Qatari talented people. In his address before a ceremony held here on Wednesday for inaugurating a set of new publications and issues by the Research and Cultural Studies Department at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, HE Al Kuwari said the ministry has paid much attention to book very early out of its firm belief for disseminating the Qatari creativity as well as the Arab creativity. He referred that the ceremony held on the occasion of naming Doha the Capital of Arab Culture in 2010, has witnessed the publication of 100 books, underlining meantime the ministry's due keenness to publish Arab creative works which serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nation. The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage had earlier published 12 collections of poems for the Sudanese creative poets, the matter which has had a positive impact, noted HE the minister in his address. HE the minister further said that the ministry also intend to issue new publications about literal creativity and production by the Palestinian intellectuals who are still behind the bar .This kind of literature is known as the literature of resistance and the literature of the captives, noted HE the minister. Elaborating HE Dr. Al Kuwari referred to the doha cultural book which is being published free with the doha magazine noting that such a book has witnessed bright success in several arab countries. HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage also indicated to the ministry's efforts which have not been dedicated or restricted to publishing the Qatari and Arab creativity , but it has been also seeking to transfer human creativity from all the world's languages into Arabic language , as well as publishing books written by the Qataris authors into language to place Arabic literature on the map of human creativity. HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage meantime highly praised the commended the efforts of the various organs and departments in charge of the publishing process such as Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) and other cultural institutions in the State of Qatar which are contributing to spreading the Qatari, Arab and humanitarian creativity in general.
