Germany is one of key European partners for Kyrgyzstan: Ambassador Abdyldayev

Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2020 /Kabar/. On Sept. 30, 2020, the German Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany Erlan Abdyldaev and new Coordinator of the German Government for Intersocietal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Eastern Partnership Countries Johann Saathoff, who recently replaced Dirk Wiese. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, views were exchanged on the development of Kyrgyz-German relations in the political, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the energy sector and "green" economy promotion. Ambassador Erlan Abdyldaev noted that Germany is one of the key partners in Europe for Kyrgyzstan and the development of Kyrgyz-German relations is important for strengthening cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union as a whole. He also informed about the current socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan due to the COVID-19 pandemic and preparations for the parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic. At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Erlan Abdyldaev and Coordinator Johann Saathoff agreed to maintain regular contacts to actively boost Kyrgyz-German cooperation.
