French Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Michael Roux completes his diplomatic mission

Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2020 ./Kabar/. On Sept. 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov held a meeting via video conference with French Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Michael Roux on occasion of completion his diplomatic mission. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, in the course of the conversation the parties summed up the positive results of the Kyrgyz-French cooperation in recent years. The sides noted the fruitful work on the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, including the results of the working visit of Minister Aidarbekov to France and the visit of Secretary of State of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne to Kyrgyzstan in 2019. In particular, the Aego de Paris international operator of the Paris and TAV Airports are ready to take part in the projects on reconstruction of the Manas and Osh airports, the GE Hydro France is already implementing projects on reconstruction and rehabilitation of the At-Bashy and Toktogul hydroelectric power stations, the Flowbird plans to implement projects on installation of parking meters, the EGIS has implemented the project on reconstruction of the Osh-Batken-Isfana road, a number of other infrastructure projects are expected. This year it is also planned to open French hotel chain "Novotel" in Bishkek. The sides noted with satisfaction the successful development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation and interaction within international organizations. They also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events. The parties stressed the importance and timeliness of establishing a diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan in France to further intensify the whole complex of Kyrgyz-French cooperation. Minister Aidarbekov expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his fruitful activity and wished him new success in the diplomatic field. For his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of the Kyrgyz-French cooperation, French Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Michael Roux was awarded with the Diploma of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Michael Roux was appointed France’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan in September 2016.
