France Confirms Its Support For The Constitutional Steps Taken By The Govt. To Impose Law In Kirkuk

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi received a telephone call from French President Emmanuel Macron. During the meeting, they discussed the deployment of Iraqi forces and the imposition of the federal authority in the province of Kirkuk, the continued fight against terrorism and the near liberation of all Iraqi territory, in addition to enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Abadi said the measures taken by the Iraqi federal government are constitutional and legal and represented by the imposition of the federal authority in Kirkuk in order to protect citizens and peaceful coexistence among them.
