Fourth Conference of Ambassadors to begin on Friday

ANKARA (A.A) - December 20, 2011 - The fourth Conference of Ambassadors will begin in Turkish capital Ankara on Friday, December 23 under the theme "Basic Bases of Turkish Foreign Policy: Democratic Values and National Interests". Diplomatic sources said that the Conference of Ambassadors will take place in Ankara and north-western province of Edirne between December 23 and 30 with the participation of Turkish ambassadors serving abroad and in Turkey. The conference will begin with an opening speech to be delivered by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Ankara on Friday at the Marriott Hotel. The ambassadors will proceed to Edirne on Wednesday, December 28. Foreign ministers of Ukraine, Switzerland and Serbia have been invited to the conference as guest speakers. The first Conference of Ambassadors took place in 2008. The conference aims to contribute to Turkey's multi-dimensional foreign policy.
