FM Kazakbaev proposes opening European university and high school in Central Asia

Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev took part in European Union - Central Asia Ministerial Meeting held on Nov.22 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The main topics of the meeting were current developments in the region, the development of EU-Central Asia relations, common security challenges with a focus on developments in Afghanistan, economic cooperation, trade and investment relations, as well as cooperation in the field of environment, water and climate. In his speech, Kazakbaev thanked countries of Central Asia and Europe for sending international observers to Nov. 28 parliamentary elections, which will be the final stage of the post-crisis transit period. The foreign minister of Kyrgyzstan noted the importance of inter-regional cooperation and readiness of Central Asian countries to increase interaction, emphasized the significant potential of the implementation of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad project, informed about the preparations of the Kyrgyz side for the consultative meeting of heads of Central Asian states in Bishkek in 2022. Ruslan Kazakbaev proposed to promote cooperation in education and establish a European University in Central Asia and a European high school in the Kyrgyz Republic.
