FM Kazakbaev meets with observers from international missions

Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2021 . / Kabar /. Bishkek city hosted on Tuesday a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Director of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) Matteo Mecacci and representatives of the International Election Observation Mission Dame Audrey Glover (OSCE/ODIHR), Peter Juel-Jensen (OSCE Parliamentary Assembly), Marina Berlingieri (Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly).
Ruslan Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the observers from international missions for their participation in the monitoring of the last parliamentary elections, as well as for the traditional OSCE support in the promotion of democratic processes in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The foreign minister also informed the international observers about the most important political and social transformations.
He assured that Kyrgyzstan is pursuing a consistent foreign policy and stands for the conscientious implementation of the international commitments to hold open and democratic elections. In acknowledgement, the Kyrgyz side ensured unimpeded and open observation of the election process for more than 700 international observers from 60 countries of the world who arrived at the invitation of the republic.
International observers from the OSCE/ODIHR, OSCE PA and PACE congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on the successful conduct of the parliamentary elections.
They noted the competitiveness of the elections, high organizational work on their conduct, ensuring transparency and openness of the electoral process.
The representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR International Election Observation Mission, the OSCE PA and the PACE noted the radical changes in the country, which were reflected in the parliamentary elections, as well as the need for greater representation of young people and women, generally speaking positively about the elections.
In turn, Director of OSCE/ODIHR Matteo Mecacci reported the final report of the International Mission will be sent to the Kyrgyz side within the next two months.
In conclusion, FM Kazakbaev invited the OSCE/ODIHR to present the Final Report of the International Election Observation Mission after its completion in January 2022.
