ERDOGAN SAYS PAKISTAN HAS A DIFFERENT PLACE FOR TURKEY

ISLAMABAD (A.A) - 26.10.2009 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Sunday that Pakistan and its people had a special place for Turkey, adding, "we are two nations and two states sharing common cultural values."
Speaking during a banquet hosted in his honor by Pakistani Prime Minister Raza Gilani, Erdogan said it was his third visit to Pakistan.
"Both Turkey and Pakistan are going through difficult times. In fact, we are having troubles regionally and globally. In this respect, my visit is very important in such a time," Erdogan said.
"Pakistan has a different place for us. Your grief is our grief. Your happiness is our happiness. It has always been so. We are two nations and two states sharing common cultural values," he said. "Our talks concluded that we could carry forward this relation."
At the end of his speech, Erdogan also said that Turkey and Pakistan would sign an accord to lift reciprocal visa requirements for Turkish and Pakistani businessmen.
