Embassy of the State of Qatar celebrates Independence Day in Astana

Astana hotel "Hilton'" has hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar (Independence Day). At the beginning of the event, Ambassador of Qatar in the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdullah Ahmed Al-Mutavaa briefed the audience about the history of the country's development, as well as the status and prospects of the Kazakh-Qatari relations. Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Askar Musin, in turn, congratulated the State of Qatar with the auspicious occasion and reminded the audience about the major milestones of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar. However, he stressed that relations with Qatar beginning from the first days of Kazakhstan's independence have been based on mutual trust and understanding. The reception has been attended by the heads of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Kazakhstan, government officials, representatives of creative and scientific intelligentsia, as well as mass media.
