Danish ambassador to Turkmenistan presents his credentials

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, May 23 / Trend, H. Hasanov / Speaker of the Turkmen Mejlis Akja Nurberdiyeva received credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Turkmenistan Tom Risdahl Jensen, the Turkmen government said on Wednesday. The diplomat conveyed greetings from Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt. "Highly appreciating Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy aimed at development of constructive relations with all countries of the world, Jensen said that the Danish government fully supports the establishment of positive and long-term relations with our country," the report says. At the meeting it was proposed to establish inter-parliamentary relations, which are important factor of strengthening bilateral relations. Jensen said that the business community in Denmark show great interest in the promising Turkmen market. Fuel and energy sector, where a wide field is opened for the two countries for the establishment of long-term contacts, are called among priority spheres of bilateral partnership. Spheres of mutual interests can also be a processing industry and use of advanced experience of Danish companies in construction of desalination and water treatment facilities.
