Cooperation between Bishkek and Budapest discussed in Hungary

Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. As part of his working visit to Hungary, Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Mayor of Budapest Gergely Karácsony, as well as with Executive Director of the CCTG Office (Turkic Council) in Budapest Janos Hovari. Cooperation issues between the cities of Bishkek and Budapest were discussed at the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the development of urban planning, housing and communal services, energy saving and improving energy efficiency and resource-saving technologies, the functioning of urban public transport, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Friday. A draft Program of Cooperation between the Mayor’s Offices of the two capitals was submitted to the Hungarian side for consideration. Also, Minister Aidarbekov visited the Turkic Council Representative Office in Budapest and met with its Executive Director Janos Hovari. The Kyrgyz top diplomat emphasized that the opening of the Turkic Council Representative Office in Budapest opens new opportunities for promoting the interests of the Turkic Council in the European space. Also, Chingiz Aidarbekov toured the place under the square named after Chyngyz Aitmatov in Budapest.
