COMPOSITIONS OF STANDING COMMITTEES CHANGE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Compositions of parliamentary Standing committees have been changed. It was done by related parliamentary resolution adopted on Friday at a plenary meeting of the parliamentary session. Accordingly, Ch.Saikhanbileg MP has left the Standing committee on justice. Yo.Otgonbayar, J.Enkhbayar and N.Enkhbold MPs have entered the Standing committee on security and foreign policy; Su.Batbold, B.Bat-Erdene, Ts.Dashdorj and Ya.Sodbaatar--the Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture; D.Arvin, G.Batkhuu, J.Batsuuri and A.Tleikhan--on social policy, education, culture and science; N.Nomtoibayar, D.Sarangerel, O.Sodbileg, Ch.Khurelbaatar and B.Choijilsuren--on petitions; G.Batkhuu, Su.Batbold and M.Enkhbold--on state structure; D.Demberel and D.Khayankhyarvaa-- on budget; D.Lundeejantsan, Ts.Oyunbaatar, D.Oyunkhorol and O.Enkhtuvshin--on justice; and S.Byambatsogt, Ts.Nyamdorj and L.Enkh-Amgalan--on economics. A head of the faction of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) N.Enkhbold MP expressed his position on the re-appointment of new members of the Standing committees. "For the time being, 43 per cent of members of current parliament are from the Democratic Party, 36 per cent--from the MPP, 14 per cent--from the 'Justice' coalition; and two MPs--from the Civil Will-Green Party, one independent candidate. In reality, one Standing committee with 19 members must comprise eight from the DP, seven from MPP, and others from other parties. If a Standing committee has 21 members, it should involve nine from DP, eight from MPP, and three from other forces," said N.Enkhbold. He added that he worked out a bill on augmenting members of Standing committee to 21. B.Khuder
