Chinese ambassador: China to provide financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan in security sphere

Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2022 / Kabar /. Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen told Kabar Agency that the Chinese side promised to provide the Kyrgyz side with security assistance in the amount of CNY 50 million. In an interview with Kabar, the ambassador also noted that during the visit of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic to China and within the framework of the meeting between the presidents of China and Kyrgyzstan the leaders of the two states unanimously expressed the determination of both sides to strengthen coordination and interaction in international and regional affairs and jointly defend international justice, and also expressed their readiness to comprehensively raise the level of cooperation between the two countries in the field of security, jointly fight against terrorism and organized crime, protect the security of the two countries and the region. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov made a working trip to Beijing on Feb. 3 - 6. As part of the trip, the head of state attended the official opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The leaders of the countries discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, energy and other fields.
