Bishkek mayor discusses environmental problems of capital with British ambassador

Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliyev held a meeting with British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Charles Garrett. The press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed the development of bilateral relations in various directions, including environmental problems of the city and ways to resolve them. "The ambassador also informed that Glasgow (Scotland) will host on Oct. 31-Nov. 12 the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change," the report runs. In addition, the sides debated the possibility of organizing a bike ride in honor of the mentioned event and thus draw public attention to environmental issues and climate change. In conclusion, the mayor of Bishkek thanked the ambassador for the visit and expressed readiness to cooperate.
