BEAUTY OF MONGOLIAN SCRIPT CONTEST CONCLUDED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The “Khumuun Bichig” weekly newspaper, issued and published in the Mongolian script by the MONTSAME news agency, has concluded its 16th contest of Beauty of Mongolian Script. On Thursday, the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag participated in prize granting ceremony, and handed the awards to winners of the contest. This year's contest received almost a thousand materials and ran in categories such as graduate pupils, professional teachers, amateurs, and pupils of 1-10th grades. Prizes have been awarded to winners for the most creative and beautiful calligraphy of the Mongolian script. The first place prize for the graduate-pupil category was awarded A.Khulan, the city's “Erdmiin Undraa” complex school; G.Bayartsengel (Moron soum, Khovsgol aimag); B.Serjmaa (Darkhan-Uul aimag); and B.Byambasuren (Shine-Ider soum, Khovsgol aimag). They have been awarded the governmental scholarships to study in the Mongolian State University (MSU) and other state-owned universities. A Mongolian language teacher from the “Khumuun” complex school of Tov aimag B.Otgonsuren received the winner's prize in professional teachers' nomination, a teacher from Rashaant soum of Bulgan aimag E.Enkhzolboo--a prize in the amateurs' contest. A 10th grade pupil from Dornod aimag A.Mendgarav became a winner of the pupils' contest. The awards for the best creative works and calligraphy went to A.Monkhsambuu, a student of the MSU, and to B.Tomorkhuyag from Darkhan-Uul aimag. B.Khuder
