Bahrain protests against Iran

Azerbaijan, Baku, May 16 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / Iran's Charge d'Affaires to Bahrain was summoned to the Bahraini Foreign Ministry, where he received a note of protest, Al Arabiya TV channel said today. The note included a protest in connection with the Iranian officials' statements about the establishment of an alliance between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. These statements are a direct interference in Bahrain's internal affairs. Bahrain calls for immediate cessation of the actions that are detrimental to bilateral relations, the note said. On Tuesday, in response to the decision of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to establish a union, the Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that this decision is a provocative act creating a new crisis in the region.
