Azerbaijan, International Anti-Corruption Academy sign memorandum

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 15 / Trend A. Akhundov / The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes and the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the cooperation in the fields of combating corruption and a joint promotion to prevent it. The memorandum was signed during the conference on 'Combating Corruption in Azerbaijan: achievements and prospects', taking place in the city of Shamakhi today. A memorandum was signed by Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov from Azerbaijani and for the IACA delegation, head Martin Kreutner. The minister said the signing will be a new stage in the study of international experience in combating corruption. "This cooperation will stimulate activity in Azerbaijan in this direction," he said. The IACA delegation initiated by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the Austrian government, the European Anti-Fraud Office and other interested parties are taking part in the conference in Baku.
