AUTUMN SESSION TO ADJOURN THIS FRIDAY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The autumn session of the State Great Khural has been scheduled to adjourn on February 8. Pursuant to the official schedule, it would adjourn on February 10, but this day is conciding the Lunar New year eve. Last week, a plenary meeting adopted some draft new wording of a law, bills and several draft resolutions on setting up a temporary committee called "Mining Development", and appointing Ambassadors to some states, and members of the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR). In addition, the autumn session ran first discussions of draft laws on regulating street addresses and on legal status of the capital city, of draft amendments to nine laws such as on social welfare for the disabled, and of draft parliamentary resolutions on approving a state policy on developing the civil aviation sector, on ensuring the labour safety and hygiene, and on some measures for the construction sector. It is expected that the plenary meeting will Thursday and Friday adopt the draft amendments to the laws on regulating street addresses and on social welfare for the disabled, and a draft parliamentary resolution on approving a state policy on developing the civil aviation sector. A matter on appointing members of the National Council of the Mongolian National Public Radio and Television is expected to be tackled, and a resolution on agendas to be discussed at the spring session of 2013 is projected to be adopted as well. The State Great Khural also highlighted an official visit of Wu Bangguo, the Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. B.Khuder
