Ambassador Rustenbekov meets with Tajik FM Sirojiddin Muhriddin

Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2022 . / Kabar / . A meeting was held on Thursday between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan Zhanysh Rustenbekov and Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodzhiddin Mukhriddin. The meeting took place on the occasion of completion of the Kyrgyz ambassador’s diplomatic mission in the country, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues, the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral Kyrgyz-Tajik relations, including the protection of citizens' rights, as well as cross-border and inter-regional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. The ambassador and the minister agreed on the need to accelerate the process of delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, as well as to intensify the work of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the border. Rustenbekov noted that the completion of definition of the border line between the countries would have a positive impact on reducing tensions and generally reducing conflict situations and incidents in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as enhancing mutually beneficial Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the Tajik side noted Rustenbekov's fruitful work as Kyrgyz ambassador to Tajikistan and wished him success in future activities.
