Ambassador Du Dewen: China will provide additional 5 mln doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Kyrgyzstan

The Chinese side will continue its anti-epidemiological cooperation with the Kyrgyz side and would provide Kyrgyzstan with another 5 million doses of Chinese vaccines, Ambassador Du Dewen said in an interview with Kabar News Agency. The ambassador added that China will work with Kyrgyzstan to defeat the epidemic. “Two leaders have agreed to confront the epidemic together. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Kyrgyzstan have been maintaining a spirit of friendship and good neighborliness, always supporting each other in the fight against the pandemic, and have proven a true friendship between the two neighboring brotherly countries,” Du Dewen said. On Feb. 3-6, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov paid a working visit to Beijing, People's Republic of China. During the visit, Sadyr Zhaparov attended the official opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Gamesand held talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The two leaders discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, energy and other spheres.
