AMBASSADOR TO AUSTRIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mr Gunaajav Batjargal presented the Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Austria, to His Excellency Dr. Heinz Fischer, the Federal President of Austria April 5. After the presentation, Mr Fischer congratulated G.Batjargal on his appointment which is coinciding with the year of marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Austria and Mongolia. He expressed hope that the new Ambassador will make a significant contribution to the expansion of the bilateral relationship between the two countries during his office term. The Ambassador Batjargal conveyed warm greetings of the President of Mongolia Tsakhia Elbegdorj to the Federal President Heinz Fischer and reconfirmed the invitation for the Austrian President to visit Mongolia with a visit. Mr Batjargal said the two countries have a potential to develop a cooperation in the areas such as minerals exploration, hi tech introduction and cultural exchange. He underscored a need to promote the Austrian classical music to the Mongolians as the two countries are marking the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations. Present at the ceremony and the meeting were Ambassador Johannes Kyrle, the Secretary General of Austria's Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs; Ambassador Helmut Freudenschuss, the Diplomatic Advisor to the Federal President; Ambassador Alexander Grubmayr, the Protocol Chief of the Office of President, as well as Mongolian Embassy's staff members.
