Al-Hakim Assures US Ambassador That Sovereignty Of Iraq And Interests Of Both Countries Should Be Taken Into Account In The Forthcoming Strategic Talks Between Baghdad And Washington

Baghdad / NINA /- Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed the need to take into account the sovereignty of Iraq and the interests of both countries in the forthcoming strategic talks between Baghdad and Washington. A statement to his office stated that Al-Hakim received the American ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller and discussed with him developments in the political situation in Iraq and the region, relations between the United States of America and Iraq, and support for the Iraqi government. Al-Hakim stressed the need to take into account the sovereignty of Iraq and the interests of the two countries in the forthcoming strategic talks between Baghdad and Washington, calling for support for the new Iraqi government in its priorities for the next stage in order to be able to get Iraq out of its current crises.
