Exhibition on 50th anniv. of excavation of King Muryeong's tomb

Visitors look at the wooden coffin (L) for King Muryeong, the 25th king of the Baekje Kingdom (BC 18-AD 660), and one for his queen at Gongju National Museum in the city of Gongju, 161 km south of Seoul, on Sept. 13, 2021, one day ahead of the opening of an exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the tomb's excavation, one of the major archaeological discoveries in the country and a crucial source for understanding Baekje.
