PACE invites Turkish premier as speaker at general assembly meeting in April
PARIS (A.A) - 11.03.2011 - Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has invited the Turkish prime minister to address its general assembly meeting in April.
Upon an invitation from PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will deliver a speech at a session on "dialogue between civilizations and cultures" during the general assembly meeting to be held on April 13.
Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, co-chair of the Alliance of Civilizations initiative, has also been invited to speak at the same session, officials told AA.
As part of his visit to Strasbourg, Erdogan is also expected to hold talks with officials from Council of Europe.
Erdogan had previously delivered a speech at the PACE general assembly in October 2004.
