Turkic Council informal meeting via videoconference - photo report

An informal summit of heads of member countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS, or Turkic Council) was held on Wednesday in the format of video conference, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, First President of Kazakhstan and Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the virtual event. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban participated as observer country, while Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow - as an honorary guest. In his speech, President Sadyr Zhaparov focused on topical regional and international issues of the joint agenda, as well as outlined a number of factors to strengthen the Turkic integration process. During the informal summit, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev's report was heard. At the end of the event, a final Turkistan Declaration was adopted.
