Tankers from Kyrgyzstan take part in international tank biathlon championship

The international tank biathlon championship has started on Aug. 23, 2020 at the Alabino training ground in Moscow region, which is held as part of the 4 international games "ARMI-2020". The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that despite the coronavirus pandemic in the world, the organizers of the event, represented by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, decided not to cancel the beloved spectacular competition of military vehicles - 16 countries are taking part in it this year. Kyrgyzstan, in turn, has been a permanent participant in tank biathlon since 2013. The command of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic is represented by 3 combined crews of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, which have undergone special training. Driver mechanics, gunners and commanders underwent a thorough medical examination with a study of the moral and psychological state and physical fitness, and also passed PCR tests for coronavirus infection, the report said. Kyrgyz tankers are in Russia since Aug. 3 and the first 2 weeks they trained in the city of Chebarkul, since Aug. 17, has been conducting at Alabino. This year the competition will be held in 3 stages: the first is an individual race with the participation of all teams, the second stage is a race with the participation of 3 tank crews on one tank and the third is the final relay race. The competition will be held on T-72B3 tanks.
