Second batch of Uzbek humanitarian cargo arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. Within the framework of agreements reached between Acting President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the second batch of humanitarian cargo was delivered to the city of Osh, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported Wednesday. Osh Oblast Governor Zharasul Abduraimov, Deputy Chairman of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Rustam Karakulov and Head of JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yullari Khusnitdin Khasilov attended a ceremony of transferring the humanitarian cargo. Governor Abduraimov noted t relations between two brotherly countries are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and good neighborliness. "First of all, we are close neighbors and intend to further increase cooperation taking into account mutual interests. We appreciate your support and express our deep gratitude for your support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic," he said. In turn, Head of the Uzbek delegation Khusnitdin Khasilov emphasized that in a difficult situation, the brotherly nations have always extended a helping hand to each other. The humanitarian cargo, which arrived by rail, consists three thousand tons of grain. Special hospital containers for 400 seats are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan in the coming days. In accordance with agreements reached in the framework of combating the spread of coronavirus infection, 200 mobile hospitals will be built in Bishkek city and in Kadamzhai region of Batken Oblast. On Nov. 15, 2020, the Uzbek side provided the first batch of humanitarian cargo in the form of medical devices and medicines for free as part of measures to combat COVID-19.
