Sadyr Zhaparov asks Russia to include Kyrgyz workers in coronavirus vaccination programs

Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2021. / Kabat /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov asked the Russian side to include Kyrgyz workers in the Russian Federation in the coronavirus vaccination programs. This became known during an interview of the Kyrgyz leader with Rossiyskaya Gazeta following his first foreign visit to Russia on Feb. 24-25. The president added that during a talks with the Russian side, issues related to the stay in Russia of Kyrgyz migrant workers in general were raised. Sadyr Zhaparov added a special emphasis was placed on the issues of facilitating the entry of Kyrgyz citizens to Russia for labor activities, in particular, the need to resume full-fledged transport communication between the two countries to ensure freedom of movement of workers. "Also, given that, according to official data, there are more than 800 thousand Kyrgyzstanis in Russia, most of whom are fully economically and socially integrated into Russian society, I have expressed a request to include the Kyrgyz workers and their families in Russian programs of vaccination against coronavirus infection, or the possibility of their vaccination on a fee basis,” the head of state added.
