Rubezh-2021 exercise completed in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2021. / Kabar /. The final stage of the joint Rubezh-2021 exercise with the Collective Forces of Rapid Deployment of the Central Asian region of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) took place at the Edelweiss training ground, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The participants of the exercise conducted a joint counter-terrorist operation, worked out the preparation and conduct of hostilities to destroy illegal armed formations that invaded the territory of a conditional CSTO member state.
Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Bekbolotov, addressing the participants in the exercise during the closing ceremony, noted that our friendly states had done a great deal of joint work to prepare and conduct the exercise, which, as expected, was held at a very high level and expressed confidence that the results our joint actions will serve as another important and constructive step in expanding the "platform" for multilateral military dialogue, contributing to the security and stability of our states.
Military contingents and operational groups of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, the Joint Staff and Secretariat of the CSTO, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Guard, Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the exercise under the leadership of Artur Temirov, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In total, more than 1000 people and 150 units of military and special equipment, including aviation - Su-30SM fighters, Su-25 attack aircraft, Mi-8 helicopters and Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles were involved.
The exercise ended with the awarding of distinguished servicemen during the exercise and the passage of a solemn march.
