Protest actions in Bishkek: 164 people hospitalized

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2020. /Kabar/. By 3:00 p.m. Oct. 6, 164 participants of the protest actions in Bishkek were hospitalized.
According to the latest data from the Kyrgyz Health Ministry, a total of 686 people have applied for medical care in the health care organizations, 521 of them were sent for outpatient treatment after rendering primary medical care. 164 victims with various injuries have been hospitalized, 7 of them are in intensive care. 1 person died (National Hospital, 19-year-old man).
- The Bishkek Research Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics received 313 injured, 75 of them were hospitalized, 3 are in ICU;
- 215 people were admitted to the National Hospital, 58 of them were hospitalized, 4 are in ICU, 1 have died;
- City Clinical Hospital No.1 received 30 injured, 23 of them are outpatients, 7 were hospitalized;
- 113 people were admitted to Chui Oblast Hospital, 102 of them were sent for outpatient treatment, 11 were hospitalized;
- The National Surgical Center received 15 people, 2 of them are outpatients, and 13 were hospitalized.
The protest action against the results of the parliamentary elections has begun today on the central square of Bishkek at about 12 a.m. local time. The participants of the action - the leaders of the losing parties demanded to annul the voting results of the parliamentary elections.
The protest action resulted in clashes between security officers and protesters.
The police used tear gas, flash grenades, rubber bullets and a water cannon to disperse the protesters.
The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan delared invalid the voting results in the parliamentary elections, which took place on Oct. 4, 2020, the press service of the CEC of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
